The non-governmental organisation ‘Kharkiv Foundation for Psychological Research’ (hereinafter referred to as the Organisation, or ‘we’) respects every website visitor’s right to the protection of their personal data and ensures that such data is processed in accordance with the applicable legislation of Ukraine and international standards.

We comply with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Protection of Personal Data’ No. 2297-VI of 1 June 2010 (as amended and supplemented). We also take into account the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — the basic rules governing the processing of personal data in the European Union; they set out exactly how organisations should handle people’s data — honestly, securely and transparently).

  • information that you voluntarily provide via forms on the website (enquiries, feedback, applications, registrations for events);
  • technical data (IP address, cookies, device information, browser details, website usage analytics).

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • considering feedback, suggestions and complaints;
  • provision of psychological and social support;
  • organising participation in projects, events and programmes;
  • communication with users;
  • to improve the website and our services;
  • compliance with legal requirements.

Legal basis for processing

The processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of the user’s voluntary consent; the need to carry out the Organisation’s statutory activities; and the Organisation’s legitimate interests (in accordance with the principles of the GDPR – the basic rules governing the processing of personal data in the European Union; they state that, how exactly organisations should handle people’s data — honestly, securely and transparently); in accordance with the requirements of current Ukrainian legislation.

We may disclose personal data to third parties only in the context of joint projects with partners (subject to confidentiality); where required by law or by public authorities; or with the user’s specific consent.

All partners undertake to ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data.

 

As part of international cooperation (in particular with EU partners), personal data may be transferred abroad in compliance with the relevant legislation and the data protection principles of the GDPR.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against: unauthorised access; loss or destruction; alteration or unlawful disclosure.

Only authorised persons have access to the data.

Personal data will be retained only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it is processed, or in accordance with legal requirements.

Users have the right to: to receive information about the processing of your data;  access your personal data; request that it be corrected or deleted; restrict the processing of your data; withdraw your consent to the processing; lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
